Hello! This is Hitapapa.
I’m a working father of three boys and I love eating out, going to hot springs, and going out!
This time, my family and I came to the resort hotel “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”, located right next to Aoshima in Miyazaki Prefecture!
It’s a wonderful resort hotel with a tropical feel, endless beaches, blue ocean, blue sky, and sunlight 😆
There were people surfing and there were Miyazaki Phoenix trees, which look like palm trees, so it was like being in Hawaii 🏝️😄
It is such a beautiful place that it would not be an exaggeration to call it the Hawaii of Kyushu or Japan!
What ‘s more, the hotel even has a hot spring with natural spring water♨️
As a hot spring lover, this is something I’m very happy about!

“Aoshima” is right in front of the hotel, and it is also easy to access by car the cliff-side shrine “Udo Jingu” in Nichinan City, which has a spectacular view, and “Sun Messe Nichinan”, which has a replica of the Moai statue. This hotel is in a great location for touring Miyazaki’s tourist attractions.
This time, I visited during a three-day weekend, so I stayed at the ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Now let’s take a closer look at ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki!
It’s a resort hotel with a tropical feel.

Exterior of “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”

The exterior of the resort hotel is based on white.
The phoenix trees give it a tropical feel.

The hotel’s logo is foreign and lovely.
The logo mark is reminiscent of resort hotels in Hawaii and Guam, making you feel like you’re at a resort overseas.
The exterior has the atmosphere of an overseas resort hotel.

There is a free car park in front of the hotel’s roundabout for guests to use.
If this parking lot is full, you can use the Times parking lot across the street for free.
The Times parking lot is quite large, so it was pretty empty.
The lobby of “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”

High ceilings and a spacious lobby.
We’ve arrived at a tropical resort!!
(I’m excited because I don’t usually stay at luxury hotels like ANA.)

The lobby is very bright, with plenty of sunlight from the tropical city of Miyazaki.

The hotel offers surfboard rentals.
There is a long beach right in front of the hotel where people are surfing.
↑This photo gives the illusion that you are really in a hotel in Hawaii♪
The hotel is very spacious and bright with plenty of sunlight.
“ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki” room

This time I chose a Japanese-style room!
Since my children are still young (7, 4 and 2 years old), we find a Japanese-style room where they can sit and lounge on the floor more convenient than a Western-style room.
In Western-style rooms, the only space available for relaxation is on the bed, and the kids fall out of bed while they’re sleeping, so we always try to stay in a Japanese-style room whenever possible.

The Japanese-style rooms are more like those in a hot spring inn , making it hard to believe that this is an ANA hotel !
The room is very clean.
It’s spacious enough for our family of five with three children.

A TV and air purifier are also provided.

There is also a refrigerator, glasses and an electric kettle.
By the way, the fridge was empty and there was no mineral water provided.

There is also a washbasin.
All the amenities you need for your stay are provided.
The toilet and bathroom are unit baths.
The Japanese-style rooms are perfect for families with children as they are relaxing and comfortable.
Spectacular view from the room at “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”

The view from the large window in the room is spectacular!
It’s already Hawaii!!
Blue sea, sky, Phoenix trees, endless beaches, and plenty of sunshine.
This is a perfect location, nothing to complain about!!

There are rooms facing the ocean and rooms facing the mountains, and although the latter are slightly more expensive, I was glad I chose the latter.
The best thing about the ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki that I felt during my stay was the spectacular view from the room.
By the way, I stayed in a room on the 4th floor.
Although it wasn’t a particularly high floor, the view was more than enough to enjoy.

At night, the courtyard is lit up, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
The lights change colour constantly, making you want to stare at them forever.
Just the view from the room window made me feel that it was really worth staying at ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki.
The view from the room is amazing!
Natural hot springs at “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”
Take a dip in the natural hot springs at ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki!
The ocean view alone is breathtaking, making this a wonderful resort hotel, and it even has hot springs, so it’s just amazing!

Clean and spacious changing room.
There were also lockers with keys.

Clean sink.
A full range of amenities are provided, including a hair dryer, lotion, milky lotion, and cream.

It was a good idea to go to the hot springs after breakfast when I thought there would be the fewest people!
There were no customers!
The large hot spring is available for private use!
There are so many washing areas lined up.
Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided.

A spacious semi-open-air bath.
The dazzling sunlight of Miyazaki is shining in and it feels great .

The hot spring appears slightly brown or yellowish .

A generous amount of hot spring water flows from the spout.
The sound of the hot spring water gushing out is soothing.

The spout and edges of the bathtub are brown and lumpy due to the hot spring components .
It must be a very strong hot spring.
The hot spring is very slimy.
It feels good on the skin.
It has a faint, unique hot spring scent.
When I tasted the spring water, it had a salty taste and a very mellow mouthfeel .
As someone who loves hot springs, I can’t help but taste the hot springs.
Tasting the water from the source allows you to directly experience the characteristics of the hot spring that cannot be determined by just the scent or the touch on your skin.
(It is not for drinking, so taste it at your own risk!)
The hot spring is rich in minerals and has a thick consistency♨️

The indoor bath is incredibly spacious!!
It’s completely made of glass, so it’s very bright with plenty of sunlight coming in.
(The photo is dark due to backlighting.)
Unfortunately the glass was fogged up with steam so we couldn’t see much of the view.

The ceramic bath uses 100% natural hot spring water !
There is no circulation or chlorination.
(The semi-open-air bath and indoor bath are circulated and disinfected with chlorine.)

The water from this cascading bath is 100% straight from the source !
No circulation or chlorination.

The waterfall bath is also quite spacious.
The temperature of the hot spring is a lukewarm 39°C, so you can take a long, relaxing bath .
Both my sons and I like lukewarm hot springs, so our favorite is the lukewarm ceramic bath and waterfall bath with natural spring water, and we always went there.
(The circulating semi-open-air bath and indoor bath are a little hot.)
The hot spring water was poured in abundance, and it was wonderful to enjoy the soft, viscous hot spring water!
To be honest, I didn’t expect to find such a wonderful hot spring at an ANA hotel, so as a hot spring lover, I was quite excited.
With the amazing view from the room and this natural hot spring, I would definitely like to stay at ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki again.
The free-flowing hot spring bath is the best because you can enjoy the hot spring directly.

There is also a sauna and a cold bath.

Buffet at “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”

This is the breakfast buffet venue.
It’s a very spacious and bright restaurant, with all the sunlight coming in as it’s made out of glass .

Luckily we were shown to a corner seat with a view of the vast garden!
lucky!
The view from the seats is just like a resort!
I’m so happy.
It’s a very spacious and bright restaurant with lots of sunlight.

Chef’s homemade omelettes.
You can choose from several different ingredients.
I chose my favorite combination of tomato and cheese.
The chef’s freshly made omelettes are so delicious!

Eggs Benedict is a classic breakfast dish in Hawaii.
It’s just like Hawaii♪
It reminded me of the eggs Benedict I had on my honeymoon in Hawaii, and it brought back memories.

Miyazaki gourmet dish “Chicken Nanban”.
The combination of sweet and sour sauce and rich tartar sauce is excellent.

Miyazaki gourmet dish “hiya-jiru”.
Cucumbers and miso go together perfectly.
There are also Miyazaki specialties ♪

Hotel homemade curry.
I love curry, so whenever I come to a buffet, I always eat curry.
In addition to regular curry rice, they also have authentic Indian curry and green curry !
It’s really delicious!
I also like that they offer naan in addition to rice.
Authentic Indian curry and green curry are so delicious!

The chef cooks the pancakes right in front of the customers and serves them fresh.
Each pancake is branded with “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki.”
There are so many dishes that I get greedy and end up eating too much♪
Courtyard of “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”

There is a large courtyard, giving it a tropical resort feel .
The extraordinary atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Disneyland.
Miyazaki is bathed in plenty of sunshine and it feels great.

There was also a chapel.
There will probably be weddings held here too!
The phoenix trees will add to the tropical atmosphere and make it a wonderful wedding.

It’s like an overseas resort hotel!

It’s so spacious!!
This is the view right in front of the hotel (゚Д゚)
It’s like a golf course at a tropical resort.
The children had a blast in the bright, spacious and open garden.
(I was excited too!)
Take a stroll through the courtyard that has a tropical resort feel!
Souvenir shop at “ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki”

There is a very large souvenir shop on the first floor of the hotel with a wide selection of items.
It’s much larger than the souvenir shop at the station!

There was a wide selection of Miyazaki specialties and classic souvenirs, so much so that it felt like you could find every souvenir from Miyazaki in this store alone .
I bought a lot of souvenirs for my family at this souvenir shop.
We buy souvenirs for ourselves when we travel, and then when we get home, we open them little by little.
Even after coming back from the trip, every time we open the souvenirs, it’s fun to talk about our memories of our trip to Miyazaki with our family.
The hotel souvenir shop has a huge selection!
