[Candeo Hotels Nagasaki Chinatown] Sightseeing, Travel, Hotel (Nagasaki, Japan)

Hello! This is Hitapapa.

This time, we will introduce the four-star hotel “Candeo Hotels Nagasaki Chinatown” where we stayed on a family trip to Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture!

This is a new hotel built in March 2020, and everything is sparkling clean!

The elevators, toilets, guest rooms, bathrooms, lobby, and other facilities are all brand new, creating a very pleasant space!

And the location is also great, right in front of Chinatown and just a one-minute walk from the downtown area! A perfect location.

First, regarding the accommodation cost, this time we stayed for a family of five (two adults and three children [ages 6, 3, and 1]) for one night with breakfast included, right in the middle of the Golden Week holidays, and the total came to 37,200 yen!!

The breakdown is 18,600 yen per adult for two people.

In the May campaign, accommodation and breakfast are all free for children!!

We were able to accommodate our family of five for just the price of two adults!!

And I made the reservation the evening before (laughs).

Maybe there just happened to be a vacancy? Lucky me!!

It’s a newly built four-star hotel, and right in the middle of Golden Week, 37,200 yen for a family of five is a great deal!

Now let’s take a look at the four-star hotel, Candeo Hotels Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown!

Exterior and entrance

A sparkling hotel standing right in front of Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown.

Gorgeous entrance hall!

Everything is gold!

The hotel logo is also a shiny star.

Reception,Lobby

The front lobby looks like this.

The front desk is on the 11th floor, so the view is amazing!

A luxurious lobby.

You can go outside from the front lobby and enjoy the view!

Chinatown is right in front of you!

The best view of the surrounding area!

These are amenities and tea.

Toothbrushes and other amenities are provided in the guest rooms, but guests are free to bring any amenities they wish to have into their room.

Alcohol, soft drinks and snacks are also available for sale.

Rooms

The long corridor in front of the guest rooms is chic and the lighting is very stylish.

The room I stayed in was on the second floor.

Sparkling clean rooms!

The room felt small.

Queen or king size bed.

Room wear, slippers and towels are provided.

Mom and her three children (ages 6, 3 and 1) slept in this large bed.

Since our children are still small, it was big enough for the four of us to sleep together!

This is a sofa.

I brought a pillow to this sofa and slept there.

The mattress on the sofa was quite good, so even though it was a little narrow, I was able to sleep without any pain in my body.

Although the room was a little small for five people, the three children stayed completely free and we only paid the price for two adults, so we had no complaints!!

Mineral water, a kettle, cups and a refrigerator are also provided.

Big new wall mounted TV!

Of course, the rooms have Wi-Fi and you can watch YouTube on the TV!

Hangers and deodorizing spray.

The bathroom is also sparkling!

The bathroom is fully equipped with fragrant shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap.

Of course, there are toilets as well.

Even in old city hotels, the bathrooms and other water areas can be dirty, but at CANDEO HOTELS, all of the bathrooms and toilets are spotless!!

It was better than any luxury hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

I’ve never stayed in such an expensive hotel though.

Bath (Sky Spa)

The large public bath, Sky Spa, is on the 12th floor!

The view from the entrance of Sky Spa is like this.

You enter the bath by swiping your room card key.

Towels will be taken from the room.

There are free lockers with keys in the changing room.

The sink in the dressing room.

This place also has a gorgeous atmosphere with a gold motif.

A hair dryer, lotion, milky lotion, hand soap, and various other amenities are provided.

There is also a toilet in the changing room.

This is the indoor bath.

It’s very clean and spacious.

The bathroom is also sparkling!

This is the open-air bath.

The view from the open-air bath on the 12th floor is amazing!

You can see the city of Nagasaki and the mountains!

There is a rest area next to the open-air bath, so it feels great to stand naked outside!

My sons were delighted with the spacious bath and the spectacular view!

This is the sauna.

The cold bath.

The washroom is also very clean.

They offer shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and facial cleanser, all of which have a wonderful scent.

There is also a water server so you can hydrate after a bath.

I’m actually quite happy about this.

Breakfast buffet

The breakfast buffet venue is next to the front lobby on the 11th floor.

The view from the 11th floor is amazing, and you can enjoy breakfast in a very pleasant atmosphere.

They have Japanese food, Western food, salads, fruits, and desserts.

Drinks include various juices, milk, oolong tea, coffee, etc.

There is also Turkish rice, a Nagasaki staple!

The style is to make your own Turkish rice by serving your own dry curry, spaghetti, pork cutlet, and curry.

This Turkish rice was so delicious that I had seconds!

The kids were also delighted with the Turkish rice.

We also had cold tofu topped with dried small sardines.

Rice topped with plenty of mentaiko and miso soup.

Finish off with Nagasaki castella cake and coffee.

The coffee is brewed by a machine using freshly ground beans. You can also have a cafe latte or Americano depending on your preference.

Paper cups are provided so you can take the coffee back to your room.

Even if you don’t book a plan that includes breakfast in advance, it seems you can still enjoy the breakfast buffet on the day by paying in cash.

  • Adults: 2,530 yen
  • Elementary school students: 1,650 yen
  • Pre-elementary school students: 1,100 yen
  • Under 3 years old: Free

Normally it would cost us 2,750 yen to have breakfast for our children, but now it’s free, so we’re really grateful!!
