[Sushi Suiten]Sightseeing, Travel, Gourmet, Onsen(Beppu,Oita,Japan)

Hello! I’m Hitapapa and I love Beppu!

This time we visited “Live Fish Conveyor Belt Sushi Suiten,” a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture!

Suiten is a very popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Beppu, and even on weekdays it gets very busy with customers, so you may have to wait .

It’s conveniently located along National Route 500, so it’s a shop you should definitely stop by when sightseeing in Beppu and have plenty of time.

It is also close to Kannawa Onsen, the center of Beppu tourism, where you can enjoy activities such as a tour of the hells.

The best thing about Suiten is that you can casually enjoy fresh and delicious sushi at a reasonable price .

You can order one plate at a time, so you can eat just the toppings you like!

Now let us introduce you to Suiten, a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant in Beppu where you can eat fresh sushi at reasonable prices!

The exterior of Suiten

This time I went to Suiten (Beppu Ishigaki branch).

It is located along National Route 500 and is close to Kannawa Onsen, the center of Beppu tourism, where you can enjoy activities such as a tour of the hells.

HitaPapa

It’s very close to Kannawa Onsen ♨️

The parking lot is quite spacious and there are plenty of spaces.

The store has a relaxed atmosphere that contrasts with the major conveyor belt sushi chains.

The atmosphere of “Suiten”

From the entrance of the store you can feel a very calm and Japanese atmosphere.

I visited around 1:30 p.m. on a weekday, but there were already quite a few customers lined up, and I managed to get a seat just before the last lunch order at 2:00 p.m.

The first order was the last order.

Even if you write your name down in line, if your turn doesn’t come by 2:00 p.m. you will have to leave, so we recommend arriving early even on weekdays.

The inside of the store is quite spacious.

It’s a fairly large store, but the chic colors give it a calm, Japanese feel.

Shamisen music plays in the background inside the store.

This is a counter seat.

This is a luxurious stone-style desk.

There are 20 counter seats.

There is a conveyor belt, but the sushi is not currently being rotated and all orders are written on order slips.

The table seats are box-type, with 10 tables that seat six people each.

HitaPapa

The interior of the store has a calm atmosphere.

Menu of “Suiten”

In addition to the standard two-piece sushi plate, the menu also includes seasonal nigiri, seasonal a la carte dishes, and weekday-only set menus.

Tabletop of “Suiten”

From the left: “Sushi soy sauce,” “Nama soy sauce,” and “Ponzu.”

The “sushi soy sauce” had a sweet and rich flavor, while the “raw soy sauce” had a refreshing, not sweet, taste.

Use ponzu sauce with white fish or other dishes as you like.

There are three types of tea available: green tea, brown rice tea, and roasted green tea.

There is also pickled ginger.

Place your favorite tea bag in a teacup and pour hot water over it from the spout on the table to make tea.

To order, you look at the menu, fill out the order form on the table with a pen, and hand it to the waiter.

HitaPapa

There are menus in English, Chinese, and Korean too.

The color of the plate varies depending on the price of each sushi.

The waiter will calculate the price based on the color and number of plates.

Let’s have some sushi!

Amberjack (429 yen)

“Amberjack” cut into fairly thick slices.

It’s fresh and has a delicious crunchy texture!

It has green shiso inside, which adds a nice accent and a nice aroma.

Ark shell (385 yen)

“Ark shell” has a delicious, bouncy texture.

There is no smell at all and it is very fresh.

It has no particular flavor at all, so I think even people who don’t like shellfish sushi will be able to eat it.

Sea bream (429 yen)

“Sea bream” is chewy and has a good bite.

The more you chew it, the more delicious the flavor and sweetness you can taste.

Horse mackerel (429 yen)

Fresh horse mackerel.

There was a horse mackerel tank inside the store.

No smell at all, soft and delicious!

The green onions and ginger add a nice accent.

Raw salmon (429 yen)

Quite a large piece of raw salmon.

It’s just the right amount of fat and delicious!

It’s soft and has the perfect salmon flavor.

Salmon (264 yen)

The “Salmon” (264 yen) is cheaper than the raw salmon (429 yen) mentioned earlier.

To be honest, it didn’t look very good and it didn’t taste very good either.

Although it is cut thickly, for 264 yen this is much more delicious than Sushiro’s 120 yen salmon…

(Sorry for writing this comment, Suiten-san.)

I think it would be better to order the “Raw Salmon” (429 yen) rather than this “Salmon” (264 yen) 😄

Kawahagi (385 yen)

“Kawahagi” has soft flesh.

Refreshing yet flavorful♪

The flavor of the green onions and grated maple leaves is amazing.

It’s delicious with soy sauce, but ponzu sauce also goes well with it.

Spear squid (264 yen)

Spear squid has a soft texture.

It also has a slightly crunchy texture.

The more you chew it, the sweeter it tastes. It’s delicious.

Conclusion

Thank you for reading to the end!
